The Team

KATE MEEK

Founder

Kate grew up performing and singing on the Kansas City stage.  One of her earliest shows was with Bob McGrath from Sesame Street and she has loved the stage ever since!  She also worked at a performing arts camp as a Director of Musical Theater throughout high school where she learned her passions in life were both performing and bringing the arts into children’s lives!  She went on to graduate with a dual major in Vocal Performance and Music Education K-12 from acclaimed Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  In Nashville she worked at recording studios and sang back-up for multiple artists.  After moving to NYC, she continued to perform and started teaching dance classes in studios around the city.  She also began teaching private lessons in voice, acting and dance with her “portable studio aka backpack” around Manhattan.  While enrolled in a two year acting program at the renowned William Esper Studio in New York, Kate was recommended to teach her energetic and engaging classes in after school programs around the city and FCC was born!

Kate is passionate that every child receives an arts education, learns about health and fitness and is encouraged to grow into their best and most world changing self!  FCC is her passion and she is thankful every day to grow alongside her students and live a life of creative adventure!
